The journey began with Rima Singh, whose association with the fashion industry spans over 26 years. An accomplished educationist, she has worked with some of India's leading fashion education institutions, contributing to curriculum development and mentoring generations of aspiring designers. Her years in academia instilled a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship, design integrity, and India's rich textile heritage. In the aftermath of the pandemic, Rima transformed this vision into reality by establishing Risaa with just a single rack of handcrafted garments. Beginning with bespoke creations and custom orders for clients in India and overseas, the brand grew steadily through trust, quality, and heartfelt recommendations. What started as a modest venture soon evolved into a label recognised for its meticulous craftsmanship and personalised approach.

The next chapter began when Saagerika joined the brand after completing her Master's from King's Business School, King's College London. Bringing together a global perspective, strategic vision, and an appreciation for Indian craftsmanship, she helped shape Risaa's evolution into a contemporary fashion house by strengthening its brand identity, embracing digital growth, and expanding its reach to new audiences while staying true to the brand's original vision.

Today, Risaa serves clients across the world with collections spanning everyday prêt, occasion wear, festive ensembles, bridal trousseau, and couture. Guided by timeless design, thoughtful craftsmanship, and sustainable practices, every creation honours India's artisanal legacy while being reimagined for the modern woman.
